FAB FINDS FRIDAY:

This has been a year of a lot of purging for me in the closet. Old clothes that no longer suit my style, are worn and/or outdated.  Purging has never been easy for me, read my purge post here  but I have gotten better at it. I'm now beginning to build a new wardrobe from the ground up with the goal of upping my chic quotient. I have my list of what I need and I've begun by hitting up my favorite bargain haunts like T.J.Maxx, Nordstrom Rack, Forever21, H&M, the Outlet Mall, Target and some favorite designer re-sale shops. I like mixing high and low items, classic with trendy, good quality and designer brands without the designer prices. Just because you love a bargain, (don't we all), doesn't mean you can't have a closet full of your favorite designers. I have pieces from my fav's, Tory Burch, DVF, Kate Spade, Calvin Klein and Michael Kors, all bought at WAY below retail! Don't I sound organized? I'm not. I went shopping for some classic white blouses, list in hand, and came home with a hat. But in my defense it's an amazing hat. I'm a sucker for a good hat and it was half the original price at Nordstrom Rack. It looked so good on, according to my personal stylists, AKA my daughter, who is brutally honest. So we she gasped and said "that hat looks amazing on you", I had no choice but to run to the register.

Then came the Cole Han clutch a HUGE BARGAIN at Tj's for $39 originally $95. Yeah that wasn't on the list either,
Then came the perfect black pump which actually was on the list! But more about that next week because shoes deserve their own post.

Now back to the tops! Why is is so hard to find great white tops? With no luck and since I had purged all of mine that no longer looked crisp white, and at risk of going to work naked, I decided to hit the lap top and shop online for these at Forever21. For those of us over 21, (way over, cough, cough),  the sizes at F21 run pretty true for most things.  If you're usually a medium you'll be a medium, except with pants then go one size larger. They also have plus sizes on line. They have an amazing selection of white tops online as in the store it's a little frantic and I can never find what I see online. So here is what I bought:

Five new white tops, check.  One new dress, not on the list. Total damage $131.49
Hidden Zippered Placket $15.99
D-Ring Belt Dress $27.90
